China's preparations for the upcoming Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, particularly venue construction and epidemic prevention and control measures against COVID-19, should be given high marks in all aspects, the International Olympic Committee's Olympic Games Executive Director Christophe Dubi has said in a recent interview. Dubi noted that as the work for epidemic prevention and control has gotten more complicated in the winter, he is grateful for China's efforts to host the event, and many admirable achievements have been made in preparations for the Games. The official also said he cannot wait to start his trip to Beijing next month, and that he believes the Beijing Winter Olympics will bring a grand event with Chinese characteristics to our world.
