Sports official emphasizes keeping politics away from athletes, Olympics

The International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) president Ivo Ferriani has shared his views about the de-politicization of sports, the significance of the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics, and how to navigate the challenges brought about by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The IBSF president called sports a type of 'clean and free diplomacy' that bring athletes from around the word together, which should refrain from 'big politics'. Ferriani also said that the upcoming Beijing Winter Olympics will play an important role to promote winter sports in the world's most populous country.
