US military support to Ukraine proves its worry about future decline

The United States continuing military support to Ukraine proves its long-term strategy of containing development of Russia, but also shows the fact that the U.S is afraid of future decline both economically or militarily, said Ronald Grigor Suny, the William H. Sewell Jr. Distinguished University Professor of History and Professor of Political Science at the University of Michigan. The expert said the Russia-Ukraine conflict is an example of the distancing between countries amid hegemony moves of the U.S. and NATO.
