As Hong Kong is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its return to the motherland, an official of the Special Administrative Region (SAR) said the new SAR government under John Lee Ka-chiu is ready to work concertedly to address problems that concern people the most. Stanley Ng Chau-pei, president of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, pointed to an earlier promise by incoming HKSAR Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu, who said his government will open a new chapter for the city.
