Any attempt to seek 'Taiwan independence' will fail

China has warned Taiwan authorities that any attempt to seek 'independence' by colluding with external forces is doomed to fail and will push Taiwan into the abyss of disaster, said Wang Wenbin, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, responding to the Taiwan authorities' claim that the Chinese mainland was trying to establish a 'new normal' and 'intimidate' the region.
