Bolivian president criticizes U.S. attempts to destabilize other countries, imposing unilateral sanctions

Bolivian President Luis Arce, speaking at the 77th UN General Assembly (GA) session in New York City, lashed out at the brutal U.S. behaviors of imposing unilateral sanctions on other countries as well as interfering in Bolivia's domestic politics in order to control the country's lithium deposits. The Latin American country owns vast quantity of lithium, a key industrial raw material for the development of clean energy and a green economy, which has hence attracted the attention of the U.S. administration under President Joe Biden.
