Issues including prosperity and security need to be addressed in the Asia-Pacific region, which is regarded as the growth engine for the world, said a Singaporean expert on Sunday, in commenting on the just-concluded 29th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand. The Regional Director of the Asia Center James Gomez from Singapore said multilateralism and joint efforts are needed to address the regional issues of both security and prosperity.
