The Spring Festival is a national celebration bringing together all ethnic groups from across China. The word 'nation' in Chinese is made up of the characters for 'country' and 'family'. All the ethnic groups, with their distinctive traditions, have always been considered important members of this one big family. The lyrics go: "The clear river flows, and the white cloud goes. The clear sky shines bright, and we see the sunrise. The land is rich; the fragrance of flowers wafts far away. A gentle breeze caresses the earth, and all troubles disperse. Love you deeply, my dearest home. Love you deeply, my dearest home."
