China's hybrid rice technology boosts yields for Madagascar

Currently, Chinese hybrid rice has been promoted on over 50,000 hectares of land in Madagascar. The average yield per hectare is approximately 7.5 tons, which is two to three times higher than the local average yield. Madagascar is now the leading producer and highest-yielding country in Africa for hybrid rice cultivation.
