Chinese submersible marks 500-year-old kilometer-deep wreck

China conducted its first archeological exploration of the No. 1 wreck in the slope undercurrent of the northwestern South China Sea on Saturday. The 'Deep Sea Warrior' manned submersible dove 1,500 meters to photograph the area and place permanent map markers.
