China is expected to achieve a better economic growth for 2024 if the policy support from the government continues, said Robin Xing, the chief China economist of Morgan Stanley, in a recent interview. Xing made the remarks as global financial institutions in October raised their 2023 growth forecasts for China. Morgan Stanley lifted its 2023 growth forecast for China to 5.1 percent from 4.8 percent to 4.9 percent earlier. Xing said that the raised forecasts showed global confidence that China's growth has bottomed out and will bounce back in the future.
