The difficult job: Dismantling the Enterprise

The U.S. Navy has announced plans to dismantle the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), the world's first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, at a commercial shipyard. The USS Enterprise has remained difficult to dismantle even 10 years after its retirement. The eight nuclear reactors are the key obstacle.
