China's all-superconducting magnet hits world-record steady field

An all-superconducting magnet developed by Chinese scientists has recently achieved a world-record steady magnetic field strength of 35.1 tesla, a breakthrough which provides key technological support for multiple industrial applications, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), aerospace electromagnetic propulsion, superconducting magnetic levitation (maglev) and high-efficiency power transmission.
