High-altitude wind power goes online in Xinjiang

The first turbines of China Huaneng's Aheqi County 300 MW wind power project have been connected to the grid in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Located at elevations up to 3,700 meters, it is the highest operating wind power project in the region.
