Introduction

In order to inspire the innovation and market vitality of the whole society, China is accelerating the development of new infrastructure and improving the market-based allocation of factors of production. To mobilize scientists serving enterprises back to normal and fostering new growth areas and drivers of growth, China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) officially launched an action called The Innovation China to serve the coordinated development of science and technology and economy on April 8th, 2020. Following the guideline of cooperative development and coordinated opening up, CAST has tried to lead the innovation factor to domestic areas, to the grass-roots and to the enterprises. It aims to elevate the industrial competitiveness and the technological innovation to expand the new space for high-quality development.

Hosted by the China Centre for International Science and Technology Exchange (CISTE) and Zhejiang Association for Science and Technology, International Promotion for the Innovation China（IPIC）First Stop in Zhejiang is one part of the action---The Innovation China. By means of video introduction, expert comments and interaction with the audience, this online event will introduce different innovative main bodies to overseas innovators. These main bodies include S&T industrial parks such as Zhejiang Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City, Zhejiang Deqing Geographic Information Town and China Guigu Science Park, enterprises such as Transcenta Holding Ltd., and activities such as World Young Scientist Summit. This event is going to manifest the market mobility and innovative atmosphere of Zhejiang Province in a vivid and real manner, aiming at promoting overseas innovators' understanding of Zhejiang's technological innovation and entrepreneurship environment as well as the successful stories of overseas entrepreneurs in Zhejiang.
