The first Penn Wharton China Summit was held in Philadelphia during the weekend, attracting students as well as business leaders from both the US and China. Big names include Xiaomi's CEO Lei Jun, famous movie director Chen Kaige, and JP Morgan's China head David Li. The forum aims to promote people to people exchange between the two countries.
One year in the making, the first Wharton China Summit kicked off at the University of Pennsylvania during the weekend.
Guests attending range from the University's Executive Vice President Craig Carnaroli, to China's star entrepreneur Lei Jun.
The theme of the discussion -- China under the new normal.
The summit has six sections, including innovation, reform, financial market and entertainment. The organiser are Chinese students studying in the US, who have made great efforts in bridging China and the US.
The three day event also showcased heavyweights from the arts world, from famous movie director Chen Kaige, to architect Dong Gong, attracting a full house of students.
