Beijing Guoan host Liaoning Whowin tonight -- with the capital club looking to make it 2 wins in a row following last weeks 3- nil win at Hangzhou. Their opponents arrive at the Workers stadium on the back of a hard fought draw with Tianjin Teda having also made a mixed start to the new campaign.
Beijing's delayed start to the season was made worse with 2 defeats in their opening 3 matches and no goals scored. Two markers against Greentown gave Guoan fans a glimpse of what new signing Burak Ilmaz can do on his first start for the club. Coach Albeto Zaccheroni will have to be without Yu Dao'bao and Li Lei who are missing with injury. After a slow start, the Italian is confident his team will improve as the season goes on.

"It's not enough to improve only through training. We're looking forward to this week's match. We need to play more so the players will have a better understanding of our strategies," Albeto Zaccheroni said.
Sitting 11th in the table, Liaoning also have one win to their name so far to go with 2 defeats and 2 draws. Their coach, Ma Lin, knows it will be a tough ask to leave the capital with a positive result but he has faith his players can dictate the pace of the game and create chances.
"Beijing is very strong and we expect a very tough game. But we hope to show off our skills and impress the crowd. I think we'll have a good match here," said Ma Lin, Liaoning Whowin coach.
Also in action are early table toppers Jiangsu Suning who will travel to take on Guangzhou R&F and newly-promoted Yanbian Fude facing Henan Jianye.
