Japan's Coast Guard has released footage of the Chinese government and fishing vessels sailing around the Diaoyu Islands. The footage was filmed between August 5th and 9th. It shows Chinese ships in the area, with Japanese coast guard ships apparently blocking their route.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said China has a clear and consistent stance over the Diaoyu Islands. she said China has indisputable sovereignty over the Diaoyu Islands and surrounding waters.
