Hundreds of thousands of demonstrators have gathered in downtown Seoul to demand President Park Geun-hye resign. This is the fifth anti-Park protest since news of her political scandal came to light earlier this year.
Park is accused of providing her long-time confidant Choi Soon-sil with improper government access and influence over state affairs. South Korean lawmakers will vote on whether or not to begin an impeachment process against Park as early as next week. Park's approval rating has dropped to a record low 4 percent.
