South Korean lawmakers have begun a series of hearings which may result in the removal of President Park Geun-hye. The bill to impeach Park was introduced by three opposition parties, who accused her of pressuring companies to donate to foundations that promoted her policies. The heads of nine corporations, including Samsung and Hyundai, will testify on Tuesday, with an impeachment vote due to be held on Friday.
