China has expressed concern and lodged a solemn representation to Japan after Japanese jets interfered with a PLA Air Force routine training exercise in the Western Pacific.

China's Ministry of National Defense said that Japan scrambled two F-15 fighter jets, which disrupted Chinese military aircraft that were flying over the Miyako Strait on December 10th.

The Ministry stressed that the Miyako Strait is an internationally recognized lane and that the Chinese PLA Air Force's high sea training is within its annual training plan.

It also has urged Japan to adopt effective measures to avoid such safety problems by proceeding to maintain regional stability and overall interests of China-Japan relations.
