President Hu congratulates Karzai on reelection

President Hu Jintao has congratulated Hamid Karzai on his reelection victory. He says China supports the Afghan people's efforts to realize peace and development in their country.

He added that China hopes to strengthen the China-Afghan comprehensive partnership under Karzai's new term, and believes Afghanistan will succeed in building a peaceful and prosperous country.
