Honduran interim President Roberto Micheletti says that his government does not fear an embargo. He also says he does not need the support of the Organization of American States.

After meeting with foreign ministers from an OAS mission, Micheletti says his government has calmly analyzed the situation and that the country can go on without support from the OAS and other countries.

He says that his country will hold elections, even if they are not recognized by the OAS. The OAS mission arrived in Honduras on Monday to help settle the political crisis in the country. It had sought the return of ousted President Manuel Zelaya.
